A FRESH CONFIDENCE
SCRIPTURE
For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken (Proverbs 3:26).
WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT
While most wouldn’t want admit it, everyone deals with some measure of internal rejection and insecurity. Now this isn’t speaking of such a level of insecurity that makes a person completely dysfunctional, but rather certain areas in our minds that make us apprehensive or maybe even fearful. These are the things that often give that sense of feeling unqualified or incapable for some task or situation. Many times, such feelings keep us from taking on certain opportunities. If we are going to rise up and be successful. we need to address the issue of insecurity. One of the best ways to address a lack of confidence is to face it head-on. We need to look at those insecurities in the eye and speak to them! We need to tell ourselves that with God’s help we are well qualified. We also need to declare that we won’t fail! Last, we must remind ourselves that our confidence comes from the Lord, and if we ask, He will impart a divine confidence into our being that makes all manner of insecurity melt away.
